Daniela Koch was born on 8 September 1989 in St. Johann/Tyrol, Austria. She began recorder lessons at the age of seven and flute at the age of nine. Four years ago she also began studying the piano. Since the autumn of 2005, Daniela has been studying flute at the University Mozarteum Salzburg in the class of Professor Michael Kofler. She has participated in master classes under Professor Michael Kofler, Wolfgang Schulz, and at the Flute Academy at Schloss Tillysburg.
Daniela has also successfully participated in various competitions, winning a number of first prizes at the Prima la Musica competition, in various national competitions - both as a solo musician and with the flute trio TICODA - and also various special prizes.
Daniela also performs with various flute ensembles as well as with the Tyrolean chamber music ensemble InnStrumenti.
