Kate Sebring was born in 1991 in Los Angeles, California. She started playing the piano at the age of four and later on took lessons from Lily Popova of Bulgaria. When she was ten years old she moved with her family to The Netherlands, and in 2001, she was admitted to the special class for young talented musicians at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she is currently studying as a pupil of Professor Marjčs Benoist.

In 2005 she won several prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition, including twice, the Prize of the Audience, the Orlando Music Festival prize, the New York Recital prize and the 2nd Place prize.

Kate has performed in Nieuw Vennep, Den Helder, Den Haag, and in Amsterdam’s Bachzaal, Sweelinck Zaal, and Kleine Zaal at the Concertgebouw. Kate has appeared on the Business Class programme (Lifestyle) and recently was given the honour of performing for Princess Maxima of The Netherlands and Princess Matilda of Belgium in celebration of Dutch Historical Literature in Breda. Kate attends the Vossius Gymnasium secondary school, where she is in her second year.
